I was born in Richfield, Utah.  After graduating from Richfield High School I relocated to Provo to attend college and obtained a Masters Degree in Education in 2002.  I continued in college an additional year so that I could be licensed as a Professional Counselor in Utah.

*   Provide individual and family therapy to adolescent males.
Typical issues: Drug and Alcohol abuse/dependence,
Depression, Anxiety, Anger, Impulse Control, Self-esteem issues, etc.

*  Initiate, conduct, and complete investigations of alleged
abuse, neglect or exploitation of disabled and elder adults.
*  Conduct clinical trainings for the general public, staff members, other
agencies, and various other professionals focused on prevention and reporting.
*  Meet on councils and coalitions with other area agencies in order to
coordinate services for disabled and/or elderly clients.

Residential Coordinator March 1998 to December 2001

*  Served as a member of the Clinical Treatment Team

*  Responsible to help determine the ongoing needs of each youth
and to aid in the development of individual treatment plans.
*  Supervised part-time staff working at the facility, conduct hiring and
any disciplinary measures.
*  Responsible to supervise and assist with the implementation of
programs for individual youth and for the group.





Teaching Experience

*  Taught social work modules pertaining to community work and gerontology for a colleague at BYU, as a substitute, three times in 2005-2006.


*  Taught social skills to boys, ages 14-17, in a private school (6 weeks, in 2002)

* Conduct training for professionals in groups ranging from 5-100 people.



Experience Other Than Teaching

* I provide social worker training and mental capacity assessment training to State Employees.


*  I provide intervention and social work support training to staff at licensed facilities.

*  I provide caregiver training to groups and individuals.





Volunteer Work and Other Activities

Civil Air Patrol- Sevier Valley Squadron 2008-2012

*  Work with the cadets, assess needs.
*  Participate in recruiting and retention
*  Act as Moral Leadership Officer- provide monthly lessons and lead discussions.

Focus: Drug and alcohol prevention, moral development, teamwork, leadership skills, and cadet retention.


Richfield Gaming Club 2008-present

*  Located and negotiated for free use of space in the community.
*  Created advertising.

I created this community event. The Richfield Gaming Club is open to all community members. We meet from 6:30-10 on the 4th Fridays to play board and card games. It’s an opportunity for people to meet in a friendly atmosphere.

This club was created in response to the many clients (teens and adults) who had expressed to me that there is “nothing” to do in Richfield on a Friday night.
